Changes to management team at Dashwood Medical Centre 

From Monday 28^th August 2023, a new team of GPs will be running Dashwood Medical Centre. 

The new management team will focus on making improvements highlighted in a recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection and report. 

Existing staff will stay at the practice, with additional staff recruited to provide patients with greater access to clinicians. 

Patients registered with the practice do not need to take any action.

Phone numbers or how patients contact the practice will not change. 

Repeat prescriptions will continue to be provided in the same way patients receive them now. 

The types of services offered at the practice remain the same. 

The new team - Dr Geevarghese, Dr Peshen, Dr Ricks, Dr Dharmasena and Dr Misra - are local GPs based at Northdown Surgery, in Thanet and have many years of experience in managing GP practices. 

Dr Cardwell is working with the new team to make sure that Dashwood Medical Centre will stay open for patients after he retires.  At no point will the practice be closing.

E consult is for 1 problem only per form completed. It is not for acute problems due to the way they are assessed and transmitted. Econsult is available to access 8am-11am Mon-Fri, but will NOT be available on Bank Holiday Mondays.
